Odd Thomas (Dean Koontz)

Young Odd Thomas is a fry cook who can see the lingering dead. He uses his ability to solve crimes. This story is exciting and at times macabre. However, Koontz throws in some humor to lighten the story. This amusing and suspenseful tale is highly recommended. Rating: A-. - Forever Odd (2005)
The second story in the Odd Thomas series was disappointing and lacked the the magic of the first book. Rating: C. - Brother Odd (2006)
This third installment with the likeable Odd Thomas finds him in an abbey solving another mystery. The off-beat humor combined with the supernatural elements is very entertaining. Rating: B+.
