A Short Walk in the Hindu Kush (1958) Eric Newby
The classic travel book relating the story of two Brits (one is the author Newby) travelling to Afghanistan in 1956 to climb a mountain that they are ill-prepared for. Many amusing observations along the way. Rating: B.
