Tarzan of the Apes (Edgar Rice Burroughs) 1914
Recently, I read the book that started the Tarzan series to Sam. This was a version edited for children that removed some of the racial predjudices (the book is a product of its time) and violence. He loved the book. Great pulp adventure for boys! I still had to gloss over a few violent scenes. I enjoyed it too since I had never read the book -- I had only seen the old movies. Rating: B+
