Hornblower and the Hotspur (C. S. Forester) 1962
This is another sea adventure with Horatio Hornblower during the Napoleanic Wars. Hornblower commands his first ship in this story. One of the things I like about Hornblower is that he is full of self-doubts. He'll believe that he's a coward and then shortly afterward do a heroic act in the heat of battle. He thinks his leadership is ineffective, but his crew admires him and his ship is well-run. Rating: B+.
