Lieutnant Hornblower (C. S. Forester) (1952)
Lieutenant Hornblower is the 2nd book in the Hornblower series. This book picks up as Horatio Hornblower has advanced from midshipman to lieutenant. We see Hornblower through the observant eyes of Lieutenant Bush. It's interesting to see how Hornblower manages the men serving under him. The story moves fast, has plenty of adventure, and is very enjoyable. Rating: A-.
